Descorde Nightclub - Moraira

On to our next venue….after leaving Karma we head over to the newest hotspot in Moraira Descorde nightclub. The club is situated Carrer Calle Marjalets, best to look out for Banco de Valencia on the corner, off the main street.
We arrived about 1.30 and are immediately struck by the electric atmosphere. The club itself is a good size with the DJ console and dance floor facing you as you walk in. There is a seating area off to the right hand side, which doubles up for some frenetic table dancing in the early wee hours. The bar runs the whole length of the left hand side making it easy to get a drink without having elbow your way through 10 people first, one of my pet hates!
Descorde appeals to a mostly mixed aged Spanish crowd, but they make you feel welcome whatever your nationality. Dancing is obligatory, and with the fantastic mixing skills of their resident DJ, David Garrigues, who skillfully blends top English dance tracks with a unique Latin undertone, it is absolutely impossible to not shake your booty along with everyone else.

Ann Shebeen Irish Bar in Javea
Written by admin on April 20, 2008 – 4:38 pm -
With it being St Paddy’s day on Monday, the 6am girls went all Irish this weekend, and sampled a bit of the Emerald Isle’s hospitality at the Ann Shebeen Irish Bar in Javea.
Now due to the Irish Bar being one of our local haunts, and the fact that whenever we go there we always experience a great night out, we felt it was our duty to take a very unbiased, fresh look at our favorite hot spot, and see how it rated when we introduced our 6 mission mantra.
We arrived at 11.30, and found the bar to be in full swing party mode with the wonderful Adam King singing his way through a fantastic mix of both old and new tunes that everyone knows and loves. For such an early hour the dance floor was packed, and everyone was singing along at full pelt having a thoroughly great time. So hats off to Adam, he really knows how to whip up his audience and put on a great performance that both young and old will enjoy listening and dancing to.

El Mono Loco
Written by admin on April 20, 2008 – 3:57 pm -
This week the 6am girls took themselves off to El Mono Loco, the only bar on Javea’s Arenal where you can enjoy a really unique dining experience. We were all really looking forward to sampling first hand their brilliant barbeque tables, coupled with some great music from the wonderful Mr. Will Guest.
We arrived at 9pm, and were immediately struck by the lovely laid back ambiance. Both the outside terrace/eating area, and the indoor lounge, was packed with people enjoying the chilled out atmosphere.
El Mono Loco is divided into two distinct sections. The enclosed patio area, which looks out on to the main beach road, housing the eight or so barbeque tables; and the indoor lounge area with the most comfortable chairs I have ever seen in a bar. They are the kind of chairs you just want to curl up in, with a nice bottle of El Mono Loco ridiculously cheap but tasty house wine and never leave!

Champagne - Javea
Written by admin on April 20, 2008 – 12:41 pm -
Celebration was the name of the game this Saturday night, and the 6am girls take celebrating to the max wherever we go. It was the birthday of our youngest 6am girl Jess, so we knew we needed to go somewhere with a real party atmosphere. During the week we had heard about the 70’s, 80’s & 90’s theme night being held at Achill on Saturday 12th April. We thought this was a great opportunity to review two of the most popular bars on Javea’s Arenal and give our birthday girl a taste of some classic funky tunes from before she was even a twinkle in her mummy’s eye! Ahhhhh bless.
Our first stop of the evening was our regular Saturday night stint at the Coast FM studios, which is now more like our second home, we even have keys!
This week not only did we have the pleasure of the charming Mr Dougie Mac, but we also got to meet a couple of his lovely DJ friends, Sharon & Ryan from UK based Sovereign radio, here sampling the liquid delights of the Costa Blanca. So with at least 12 of us in the Coast FM studio, the party had kicked off with some of Dougies great Ascension tunes and a lot of fruit inspired lubrication, and it was only 10pm!
Im sure you can all see where this is leading.
